Frequently asked questions

What should I bring to a beginner workshop?
We provide presses, papers, and tools. You may bring a small bouquet or individual blooms no thicker than 1.5 mm. A notebook is helpful for timing notes.
How long do flowers need to stay in the press?
Most thin petals press well in 7–10 days. Thicker specimens or humid environments may require up to 21 days. Resist opening early to avoid warping.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Yes. You can reschedule up to 72 hours before the session. Cancellations within 48 hours receive workshop credit; earlier cancellations can be refunded.
What paper do you recommend for archival results?
Acid-free, lignin-free blotters with moderate absorption. Our house sheets balance wicking without imprinting fibers onto petals.
Are your presses suitable for travel?
Yes. Our compact hardwood press fits carry-on dimensions and secures with low-profile screws to avoid snags in bags.
How do I keep colors from fading?
Dry fully, store away from direct sunlight, and frame with UV-filter glazing. Avoid adhesives that off-gas; use archival paste sparingly.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship tools and paper worldwide. Workshop bookings are in-person at our studio; digital materials are available for remote learners.
What if I press a flower that bruises easily?
Use lighter pressure at first and swap blotters after 24–48 hours. Support petals with tissue to prevent edge curling.
Do you offer private sessions for groups?
Yes, for 4–10 participants. Contact us with date options and any floral themes; we’ll tailor the materials kit.
